For GATE and other M.Tech. Biotechnology Entrance exams eligibility requirement is Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Pharmacy (which has to be of 4 years) and not B.Sc., but you can just confirm from the institute where you are looking for admission.
The following categories of candidates are eligible to appear in GATE.
(i) Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Pharmacy (all courses have to be of 4 years after 10+2) and those who are in pre final year of such programmes.
(ii) Master’s degree holder in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statics/Computer application or equivalent and those are in final or pre-final year of such programmes.
(iii) Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master’s degree programme (Post-B.Sc) in Engineering/Technology or in the third or higher year of Five–year Integrated Master’s degree programme and dual degree programme in Engineering/Technology.
Eligibility for admission to M.Tech degree is B.Tech/M.Sc in the discipline. You can also find eligibility requirements for various M.Tech programmes from the following links.
